History

Past

In February 2016 we celebrated our 90th year in business.

Started by ‘Grandfather’ John Arnold over 90 years ago in 1926, Mobile Welding began operation as a respectable blacksmith shop forging horseshoes and doing ornamental iron work welding.

Growing from the Township of York through to the Borough of York, John’s son Jack joined the business to help it grow and prosper. Evolving with the growth of the city Jack took the company from ornamental iron work and horseshoes to more complex and larger jobs including York Municipality equipment repairs.

As the Borough of York grew to North York and then Toronto, so did Mobile Welding. Jack’s son Jeff joined the company and helped bring Mobile Welding up to where it is now – providing new tools, repairing equipment, consulting services and welding structures throughout the Greater Toronto Area.
